Good practice, doctors are great. But a long wait.
I wish I wasnt writing this review! I moved from one side of Milton of Leys to the other, advised the surgery of my address change as soon as I moved house. I then went to the pharmacy to pick up my repeat prescription of statins (which I need to take every day) and was told they didnt have them. I contacted the practice and they advised they could not give me the medication as I have been unregistered!!!! The receptionist asked if I had registered myself elsewhere - no!! She told me the cut off for the doctors was Sir Walter Scott drive, funny considering I lived far past that point at my old house and had no problems! I was unregistered without being told and have now been left 4 days without medication through no fault of my own. I have now registered with burnfield medical practice who registered me and gave me an appointment and a prescription all in less than 24 hours! I would avoid this practice, Dr Maclean was lovely and did a lot for me however the reception staff are rude and make you feel like an inconvenience by just phoning, also there is no way of booking an appointment in advance you need to phone at 8am on the day, difficult for those of us that work!!!
This the best Medical practice I have ever used (12yr) I have a few medical problems, all the Doctors are brilliant depending on my needs, in particular Dr Flugel and Dr Maclean. I don't understand some of the bad revues
I wouldn't give this dump 0.5 stars. My husband was kicked out after updating his address 1.5miles from practice after being there for 38 years and undergoing treatment, the (NOT SO) friendly receptionist tells me "thats just the way it is" Couldn't ever get an appointment, try tomorrow, phoned 17 times in 5 mins finally 08:06 got an answer . . .call tomorrow none left. It's appalling and there is no duty of care here. THE GRASS IS FAR GREENER ELSEWHERE 100%
Showed up on time for appointment to wait over five minutes for receptionist to appear at desk to say I was now late for my appointment (due to her inattentiveness )and would have to reschedule, after speaking to doctor directly said would have to take issue up with reception as she had appointment slots of ten minutes although have had to wait over thirty minutes after my appointment time before due to the doctors running late after a back and forth got seen by another member of staff who was actually very nice and helpful the whole appointment took less than five minutes which would of been fine if they didnt spit the dummy in the first place would of still made it out in my allotted time
