BE AWARE - I DONT THINK THEY ARE TRUSTWORTHY. I have hired a car in Inverness for the past 4 years, First time this new year with Thrifty. We left the car as instructed in the car park at the airport at the end of the rental. There was no damage when it was left. I was therefore surprised a week or so later to discover 118 had been taken from my credit card and when I challenged this was told that the rim of an alloy wheel had a scrape. The photo sent does not show any damage (just a coloured ring imposed by them purporting to show 'damage') I have complained and asked for an untouched photo of the damage. Nothing forthcoming. I picked this firm because they were the cheapest- so accept I perhaps was duped- it is also the least convenient as you are minibused the eight miles to their depot in Inverness whereas on previous rentals the hire company was located within a mile of the terminal. I very much regret using this company and can only advise anyone who does to take very detailed photos and videos of the car at the end of the rental- foolishly I didn't do so.

Despite dropping the car off in the same condition we got it, we were charged for a new wheel (273) without being told. (As if I could trash a huge SUV wheel without noticing!) Found out via bank statement. Phoned to complain, no one was interested and promise of a call from the manager never happened. This company acts exactly like your worst fears of car hire company behaviour. Also called the helpdesk when trying to drop off car as we didnt know where to go at the airport. Response was how should I know. Charming. Avoid like the plague. Wish I could give no stars.
